We didn't set off to change the world with Twiddla. Honest!

Due to the distributed nature of our work, we needed a good tool to collaborate on design ideas in real time. But you know what? There really wasn't anything out there that met our needs. It was killing us. If you've ever had to take a screenshot, mark it up in MS Paint or Photoshop, email it to your designers, then wait a day for them to write back, you'll know our pain.

Lucky for us, we're software guys. When something hurts, we can whip up a little application to make it hurt less. Like all good ideas, the inspiration for Twiddla finally hit during a 3am burger session, and that morning we just went for it and cranked out a working prototype in a single day. Jason wrote up the experience on the Expat Software blog. To our surprise, people quickly found it. People tried it. People told each other about it, and somehow we ended up getting 1000 signups in 24 hours! This got us thinking, Hmm… Maybe other people might need this thing too…

So there you go. We're building it as a product. We're making the world a better place.
